Yoga Straps

Manduka yoga straps with a D-ring buckle, about 2.4 m and about 3 m long. They help with stretching, binds and good alignment.

What is a yoga strap for?

A yoga strap extends your arms. It helps you reach your feet in a hamstring stretch, open your shoulders or hold a pose longer without straining. Beginners use it to build mobility, and experienced practitioners use it to work on alignment and deeper poses.

Which strap length should you choose?

A longer strap gives you more freedom in wider poses and suits taller people. A shorter one is more practical to carry and for poses where you do not need much length. Both Manduka straps have a D-ring buckle that holds the strap in place.

  • Manduka Align: about 3 m (10 ft), in Linen, Midnight and Thunder.
  • Manduka UnfoLD 2.0: about 2.4 m (8 ft), in Midnight and Thunder.

How to use a yoga strap

Make a loop with the D-ring buckle, put it around your foot and hold the ends of the strap in your hands. That way you can stay in a stretch with a straight back instead of rounding forward to reach your feet. The strap is also used behind your back to open the shoulders, and in binds when your hands do not meet.
