Yoga Blocks
Yoga blocks made of natural cork, from Manduka and YDL. Cork is light, stable and does not slip under your hand.
What is a yoga block for?
A yoga block brings the floor closer to you. When you cannot reach the floor in a forward fold or a lunge, a block under your hand gives you support and helps you keep good alignment. It is also used for support in inversions, seated poses and restorative practice.
Why a cork block?
Cork is a natural material that gives good grip and stability. A cork block is firm, does not give way under your weight and does not slip on the mat. Both blocks we carry are made of natural cork.
- Manduka cork block: light and durable, with dimensions that allow different hand and foot positions.
- YDL cork block Mandala Black: with a design that matches the YDL mats in the same pattern.
Where is a block used most?
- Under your hand in a forward fold, a lunge or triangle, when you cannot reach the floor.
- Under your pelvis in seated poses and meditation, to keep your back upright.
- Under your back or head in restorative practice.
How many blocks do you need?
One block is enough to start. In poses where both hands are on the floor, such as a twisted lunge, two blocks give you even support on both sides.
